Incredible posture of a Red Backed Hawk (Falkland Islands) (1 Viewer)

I took the below image of a dark phased juvenile Red Backed Hawk Buteo polyosoma feeding on a dead male Upland Goose Chloephaga picta leucoptera.

I have never seen a Red Backed Hawk standing so erect before.

Nice pics. My cousin has just been stationed down in the Falkland Islands, apparently he's finding it a bit isolated and quiet. Although he did say the birdlife is amazing, getting up close to Penguins, Hawks etc a pretty good highlight . . .
