Is this a fledgling blackbird? (1 Viewer)

Hi, we have had backbirds nesting in our ivy. Today all we continually hear are high pitched shrills and quiet tweets. Almost alarming. But this baby fledgling is 4 times the size of the parents, as though it is a large crow. It is enormous, is this definately theirs?

Hi Caspar and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. It's so difficult to advise you without seeing a picture. Here is one showing an adult with 3 newly-fledged young. You'll see they do look a little bigger. But is that what the one you are seeing looks like? WWW...

If you have got a picture and are not sure how to upload it, please don't be afraid to ask.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

I have had an answer that it's a crow waiting for the baby blackbirds, so i shooed it away

Hi,

It would be good to know how to upload a photo as I couldn't work it out. Thanks.

Ps this one was jet black in colour, and was hoping around but not flying.

Hi,

Below the message pane on the left hand side is a Paper clip (attach files) if you click on that you can search your computer for the picture. It places it as thumbnail(s) at the bottom of your post.

Above the message pane is a row of icons one of which is a single picture. Click on that and again you can search your computer for the picture, which will be placed full size wherever your cursor is. When it is on your post, please click on the image and you can then reduce the size that it will display at (it's kind to people who don't have fast broadband if the image isn't taking up all the screen LOL).

Your best to reduce the size of images before uploading to something under 3000 px on the longest side.

I hope this helps, but please don't be afraid to ask for clarification of any point if required.
