Kowa TSN-99a TE 11 Star Tests with Rigel (2 Viewers)

One of the first clear skies this year, and so I took my TSN-99a out on our porch with the TE 11, the DA4/DA10 digiscoping adapters, a Sony RX 100 II, all these on a Berlebach Uni 16c tripod with a Berlebach Pegasus head.
The first look at the stars was amazing at 30x: pinpoint sharpness. I'm eager to know how this scope will perform with my TE 80. For now, I wanted full magnification of 70x for this star test.
Camera was set at 6400 ASA, 2.8 aperture and 1/50sec shutter-speed.
I'm new at this, so please don't expect too much. I'm attaching some of the files. I guess 2240 will be the most interesting of the pics regarding a star test.

Seems fairly well collimated, but Rigel is low and the Seeing conditions don't seem ideal.

2a.m. or 3a.m. and Polaris might be better.
Maybe Vega also?

Regards,
B.

Thanks for the suggestion, Binastro. I will try again, maybe tonight. Polaris and Wega are probably out of the range that my Pegasus head can cover. I mostly do birding with my scope, and for planets the maximum angle will also do. If I want to go up that high, I might need an astronomic mount.

No, Capella is indeed quite low, and so you are right about the poor seeing, but it's of course in the range that the Pegasus head will offer access to.

I also have a 99a and started to stargaze recently. I agree with you that the view is sharp and pinpointed stars. TE11z is an excellent zoom eyepieces on 99a. For example, double star Almach is beautiful emerald and golden. Venus is bright crescent in 99a.
