Lake O'Hara - B.C., Canada - July, 2004 (1 Viewer)

Hi Again - As mentioned in my previous post, I am attaching two photos of birds seen at Lake O'Hara (B.C., Canada) in July, 2004 - prior to my becoming a birder. Could someone confirm if the first photo is of an American Dipper? I have not been able to identify what looks like a juvenile of some sort of water bird in the second photo. Many thanks in advance for your help.

First bird is a Rosy-Finch presume a juvenile, unsure which race it might be ascribed to Loutsy, range might suggest Gray-Cheeked/Hepburn’s?

Cheers
