Large gull UK, 24/07 (1 Viewer)

Had this down as a juvenile YLG in the field today. Looked ok to me both on the deck and in flight. On reviewing the pictures I noticed the tail feathers had some white marks in the tail band, something I hadn't seen before. Pictures taken in strong sun-light, hence the flight pics came out a bit brighter than seem in reality. Any thougths?

still a juvenile YLG for me, too.
See the recent post with helpful comments from Lou (thanks!) and note, that your bird lacks the dark shins present in 1cy Lesser black backed Gulls.

indeed a nice juvenile YLG, with a bit weird white inserts to tail band.
