Lost Notebook - Cley - 25/07/2009 (1 Viewer)

I have been a very silly sausage today and managed to lose my birding notebook somewhere on the Cley reserve. It is a black Aldwych notebook with writing in red from today. It starts in June 2008 with a Center Parcs visit (shows how infrequent it is I manage to get out and about if it's lasted that long!!!).

Am gutted to have lost it - if anyone finds it / has found it can they please let me know

Last place I know I had it was the Swarovski hide. I then walked along the shingle to West Bank and along the bank then back through to the Visitor's Centre where I went to the ladies and the cafe.

Thank you
Claire

My membership card that was in the notebook has kindly been returned to me ... but sadly there is still no sign of the notebook :-(

Note for the future: put your address and phone number in your notebook: I have lost three over the years and got all of them back within a week.

I suppose these days e-mail might be another option.

Very careless John! But, yes nowadays I put my email address in - and sometimes my hotel's address if I'm using it abroad.

It was very careless, and all three occasions were in telephone boxes. Two were down to checking in with the other half: once from Woolley Edge services on the M1 coming back from the Rosehearty Short-billed Dowitcher, once from the phone box at the bottom of the hill up to the Garrison in Hughtown (I had consumed quite a lot of HSD on that occasion). The other one was years and years earlier near Frensham.

I was and am very grateful for the kindness demonstrated by the various people who made sure I got my notebooks back when they could have just done nothing.
