Palila Loxioides bailleui Oustalet, 1877
Pierre Etienne Theodore Baillieu (1829–1900) was French consul in Hawaii and a collector of natural history specimens.

Pierre Étienne Théodore Ballieu (1828-1885) French Consul to Hawaii 1869-1878, collector. M. Ballieu’s name has also been spelled Baillieu and Ballien (Loxioides).

According Family tree of Pierre Etienne Théodore BALLIEU probably from Ministère de la culture - Base Léonore
  • Born December 19, 1829 (Saturday)
  • Deceased August 25, 1885 (Tuesday),aged 55 years old
  • Avocat, commis principal (/1863/) aux affaires étrangères
If we follow Visionneuse - Archives de Paris p. 4 of 50 Born December 20, 1829 (we can find that as well in Léonore).

I did not check his death record yet. But it looks on a brief check in filiae 1885 in Paris (and not 1900)

Léonore has his birth date as 19 Dec on two documents (this and this) and as 20 Dec on two others (this and this); they accept 19. (The Paris birth record is reconstructed, so could not be fully correct.)

However, the next image in the archive (Visionneuse - Archives de Paris , 5/50) has a complete transcription of his original birth record, which supports 20 Dec -- record dated "Du Lundi vingt-un Décembre mil huit cent vingt-neuf"; child said to be "né le jour d'hier'. (The 21 Dec 1829 was indeed a Monday.)
