No, Bill Gates wears a Casio Marlin wristwatch. The BulbMogul doesn't strike me as the sort to do that.

Ha! I think you are right.
Pete.

Lee. I think you are correct. How long did it take for Swarovski to bring out the 8x32 EL after the introduction of the EL 8.5x42? Wasn't it about 6 month's?It is doubtful NL 32 will be launched in this year, perhaps not until BirdFair August 2021 or even later, because Swaro will want as many people as possible to buy the more expensive 42mm instead of the 32.

That is true in my experience. I am deciding if I should pre-order or not, pre-order or not, pre-order or not.Sometimes around the States...they give you a 10% or more discount for pre-order as I have seen with the SF.
You got to admit there was something uncanny about Swarovski coming out with a new binocular at exactly the same time as Zeiss with a little bigger FOV! It had to be planned.:-OI'll bet there is a certain amount of apprehension circulating in Wetzlar at the moment. If the inevitable and already eagerly anticipated 8x32 NL is subjectively only marginally 'better' than the 8x32 SF or even very similar and Swarovski pitch it at just sub-2k, the SF could end up dead in the water, despite all the hype it has received. This could be a major coup for Swarovski and an equivalent blow to Zeiss in the exciting world of optics wars! At just shy of 2k, I may be tempted to upgrade my 2004 vintage 8x32EL; any more and 'I'm out', as they say.

Thank's for that! The ignore list work's pretty well most of the time until somebody is quoted.Seems unduly harsh to me.
There is nothing wrong with one or two-star reviews, they are often much more usefully informative than the five-star accolades. Plus we all know that our reaction to a new binocular varies greatly between individuals.
So maybe Dennis hated the SV initially but later reconsidered. I'd view that willingness to change course as a positive, although recognizing that a consistent perspective helps build appreciation by others.
That was ZEISS! We are talking about a Swaro here! They are always perfect first time out of the gate!Me too Andy,
I remember when the SF launched many pre-ordered before trying one, and lets be honest the grey models needed a little tweaking with the black models following in short time.
John.
He read my mind!:king:The same question was earlier posted by denco on another corresponding thread - hence seemingly receiving an answer before being asked on this thread.
Be careful! I know where you live. We are always looking for new human subjects to experiment on.:eek!:Which would prove he's a alien, which would explain everything.
Assumption, wishfull thinking or reality.......:smoke:
Sorry Dennis, couldn't resist:t:

I think I am going to pre-order the NL 8x42. 70% more light-gathering power than the 32mm. I already have the EL 8x32.We are talking about a possible NL 8X32 in the future, did anyone know a month ago about the NLs debut?

If there are any questions about the NL alive, please let me know and I'll check it out tomorrow.

When can I order an 8x32 SLC?
Ed
SCL, that was funny, it probably got a few thinking - what other 8X32 model is coming out?.
