Needed an interest that helped with mindfulness and didn't require lots of physical activity and there's woods and a park nearby. I went to a local camera/optics shop and tried a few binoculars and bought a pair of Celestron Trailseeker 8x42 as they seemed to offer the best combination of comfort, image quality and price.

Mainly seen Wood Pigeons, robins, blue tit and magpies and keep hearing an owl at night. Hopefully visit some of the local wetland nature reserves over the next month or two.
