Nikon EDG 20-60x85 on ebay (1 Viewer)

One of these on eBay auction starting at $1499.99. I own some EDG 8x32 binoculars and I don't see how there could be a better binocular out there. Are the EDG spotting scopes just as good?

EDG scopes where very good optically when they came out on the market,
and still are, though more recent scopes seem to be slightly better,
the 85mm VR model is unique, still,
main problem with the EDG scopes is that they are quite bulky and heavy,

That's the general notion I get from researching these scope . It's weird there's not more feedback on this forum about the EDG scopes. If they're even close to the EDG binoculars, I'll be happy.

don't think that the EDG scopes sold very much outside Japan,
here are some tests,

My opinions of using both EDG bino (few weeks) and scopes (3 years), the quality is superb and they were targeting mainly photographers who wanted to get into Digiscoping hence the EDG VR came out too.

For me the weigh it not a problem because we still have to mount it on the tripod right? CA is well corrected even on maximum zoom with the eyepiece and also FSA-L2 photo adapter up to 1750mm

Overall for me, it is a fine instruments but unfortunately the warranty issue in Asia which is only a year. So now most of birders in my place switching to other brands.

You mean to be used with the FSA-L2 adapter? If yes, you can get the T2 ring for Canon n use it on the adapter. Same goes to other brands, need T2 ring

Not exactly. The adapter needed is a Nikon to Canon mount, that is sold by photo material companies. Nikon protects them self by using only Nikon mount. For using the T2 pieces on the FSA-L2, I had to ask to a company to do a special adapter - I mostly use the FSA-L2 as an image erector for astro-telescopes http://www.pt-ducks.com/cr-telescopes.htm#Nikon_FSA-L2 although also used it for photography with other telescope and camera brands http://www.pt-ducks.com/cr-photography.htm#Photography_using_birding_telescopes...:king:
