One day in Cardiff ... where best to go? (1 Viewer)

Just arrived in Cardiff. Thought I knew where I wanted to go on the one free day I have here (tomorrow), but now I'm in doubt. Any suggestions? Maybe morning one place, afternoon another?

Thanks guys :)

I'm staying in a B&B right by Bute Park, so that's where I started. I walked along the Taff Trail nearly all the way to the end, then crossed over the river and through another park to the Cardiff Bay Wetlands, back through the city and across Bute Park homeward. It was a long hike, so though I thought I'd just put the food in the fridge before going back to the park, now that I'm here at the flat maybe I'll just relax, download and back-up the photos I took today, browse BF, make some dinner, massage and stretch my feet (plantar fascitis again |:(|. No really exciting birds on today's walk, but densities are higher here in the UK than in Norway, so I saw more of the familiar birds and also often got closer. Today's list:
Herring gull,
Great Black-backed gull,
Carrion crow,
Magpie,
Blackbird,
Starling,
Wren,
Robin,
Garden warbler (heard and glimpsed but no photo),
House sparrow,
Wood pigeon,
Feral pigeon,
Great Cormorant,
Great Crested Grebe,
Mallard,
Tufted duck,
Coot,
Mute swan,
Reed warbler (also heard and glimpsed but no photo),
Reed bunting,
Swifts and House martins (but no photos of those).
The reed bunting was the highlight of the day in one way, as it's a couple of years since I've seen one. But the best photos were perhaps of the Cormorants, the Wren and maybe also the Mallard ... I'll see when they're downloaded and edited.
