I emailed Chip at Opticron USA yesterday (Saturday) afternoon and got a response from him today (Sunday Morning at 7am).

Now that is dedication and great customer service!

I wonder if any of the other brands out there would do the same thing?

I'm in the UK ,
And rang with questions about an Opticron HR 60 purchased about 1985.and a zoom lens from about the same Time, they were absolutely brilliant ..
It shows the quality of their optics that they are still going strong after all this time.
Using a more modern GS 52 GA ED , and ES 80 ED with the HDF zoom nowadays and really happy with their products and aftercare service.
