The other day we heard then saw a pair (M/F) of Belted Kingfishers at the local lake. They were flying up and around in spirals quite close to one another, chasing a bit one way then another, and gradually progressing around the perimeter of the lake, the male singing nonstop the whole time, even while perched near the female in a tree for over 15 minutes.
