Hi, I took this photo today of a Pipit that I saw as the light was going, so not a great image. The bird was drinking at a marshy area of a grassy bank near the loch. It was along side a Pied Wagtail that was also drinking from the pool. It seemed very pale and white underneath compared to a Rock Pipit seen earlier on rocks near harbour. Wondered if it might be a Scandinavian Rock Pipit which I've not seen before.

Yep, a Rock Pipit; from the habitat, I'd think likely a wintering Scandinavian littoralis bird. They really only get reliably identifiable once they get summer plumage later in March / April.

Don't know how often A.littoralis get to the West coast of the UK, would have thought that A.petrosus would have been the "Western" default?
