Tonight i came across this poor bird. He looked healthy apart for the fact his eyes were all dried out. Although i think the pupils may have been moist underneath. there were no signs of any other injury. The bird looked exhausted.
It did not make any noise and soon collapsed on its back with its wings still open. I closed its wings and hope i made it comfortable and had to leave it there. Even my little terrier looked concerned.
This bird was found in a location used for breeding pheasants

i'd call you local wildlife crimes officer incase it is something to do with keepers, but looking at it, i doubt it. if i was you, i'd take it to a rescue center, preferably not RSPCA (will discuss why over pm if anyone wants to know) get a welding glove and pick the buzzard up by the legs, put it in a dark box (this calms them as they think its night time) then take to center :)

Just went back to the site armed with suitable equipment but the bird had gone.
8 mile round trip in the car then 2.5 mile cross country walk. It is an area popular with dog walkers mountain bikers etc. So dont know the outcome. If i had equipment at the time i would have taken it in.
Thank you for your reply.
