In the good old days I used to have a key for the gate at Potteric, these were available to buy / rent from the visitor centre, this meant you could gain access to the reserve well before the officiall opening time, but unfortunately this was stopped about 10/12 years ago by Network Rail after an accident on their access road.

So...having not been to Potteric since, is there any access to the reserve or do you have to wait until opening time and enter via the visitor centre?

Cheers

The reserve opens at 9am and access is via the visitor centre. The reserve is locked at 5pm. If you intend leaving after 5 you need to park in the overflow car park and use the gates which have magnetic locks.
