Queensland, Australia - Western Gerygone? (1 Viewer)

I found this bird at Hasties Swamp NP on 1 November 2022.
At first I thought it was Jacky Winter but the outer tail feathers don't look white. Now I think it is a Western Gerygone although the white eye ring seems a little faint.
Can anyone please advise? Your help is highly appreciated!
Cheers, Mark Eising

Looks OK for western gerygone afaics. Eye ring often not marked I think, lower arc is stronger (as in your first photo).

Western Gerygone would be an unusual record for Hasties - not unheard of, but I'm pretty sure the species wasn't recorded there during my time living in the area. Also, I can barely see any trace of an eye-ring. Plus, would Western not have more white in the tail? Plus, it looks like a Brown Gerygone to me (which can often be very grey); plus they're pretty common in that area.

Yeah, I think you are right. I have checked for Brown Gerygone and it all seems to match up. Indeed, in this area they are quite grey. Thanks for your very useful help!
