Raven or Carrion crow (2 Viewers)

Today in Belgium , the jizz was not crow-ish at all.I am leaning more towards Raven .What do you think?

this surely has to be a 1cy Raven with that tail. Shape is obscured by growing feathers but I think its enough for a confident ID (?)

The tail is moulting, not growing from scratch - so... assuming ravens (if it is a raven) do what most passerines do (and that'll be complicated by the fact that ravens - if it is a raven - nest very early)... active tail-moult would make it a 1-year-old (2nd-calendar-year) or older.

At first appearance , the shape reminded me of a buzzard, so a bit bigger as a carrion crow.This made me think that it was not a crow
When the bird approached to me in flight , it appeared to be a bit more robust.
Unfortunately , no sound heard

I just came back from the peak district, and saw around 10 different ravens there. Amazing.

Flight pattern is pretty useful as well. I spent all day watching them, and now I know why they're described as acrobatic. I've rarely heard them call.

The (presumed adult) ravens near me have tails very like this at the moment - including the squared-off tip.

I've rarely heard them call.

They do call often - and it's often the easiest and surest way of identifying them.
