Hello, I am a new bird forum member (and only a year or two old to birding - took it up during COVID and love it) who works as a humanitarian aid worker. This means I am constantly based in different countries and get 1-2 week RnRs semi-regularly to compensate for the immersive and restrictive nature of the deployments. I am currently based in West Africa and looking at doing a birding trip first half of September. Flights within Africa are surprisingly more complicated than you'd expect - unless I head to Ghana, Egypt or Ethiopia - so I am looking not just here, but also at Asia and the Middle East (staying away from Europe this time around due to all the reports of complications at airports - although I wouldn't call that a hard line).
I would love to hear suggestions for September trips/hotspots. Currently looking at Egypt and Sri Lanka, but really open to anywhere. Probably won't be doing an expensive safari (Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya) this time around, although maybe further down the line.
Any suggestions are welcome, many thanks in advance!
