Hi
The title says it all. Anyone any suggestions of reasonable birding areas around Reno during February
Thanks
Tony

You might want to give the Sparks Marina a visit. It's a good place for gulls and waterfowl & currently holds a Yellow-billed Loon. The loon has been in residence off & on since Xmas & has generally been easy to find & see.

Hi
Thanks
for all the suggestions. Managed to have a day in the Carson Valley area and a day in the washoe valley area. If there is anywhere to post sightings (mostly hawks etc not surprisingly!) then pleasse let me know. The diver (Loon) was not on the marina on the morning of the 15th Feb, but was present on the 19th. I have attached a photo I hope(!)

Thanks, Tony I really appreciate the response. I had seen the Audubon site but was hoping for something like Fugl's response that tells what they think would be good. I will look into both the sites that you went to next fall.

Thanks again
