Please may I enquire as I am not familiar with Brent Geese.
At Kilnsea, Yorkshire, UK, in 2020, there was a flock of Brent Geese reported, and these were reported as being predominantly of the Dark-bellied type. However, it was also mentioned in reports that among the flock were odd individuals of the pale-belled type present, as well as a solitary "Black Brant".
I went along and managed to take some photographs at some distance of birds in the flock. These included what one example of what I am fairly confident was a pale belled bird. In addition I noticed a candidate for a possible Black Brant. However as regards this individual, there is only a poor quality shot (sorry). Also the heavily cropped image shows only part of the bird. I am by no means certain that it was a Black Brant. Accordingly I am attaching the photo here to ask if anyone might be able to assign with certainty the type .
Thank you so much. I am guessing the bird was either a Black Brant or a pale-bellied. It is admittedly a long shot.
