"Retrovid" 8x40 and 10x10 - any good?? (1 Viewer)

I know that the "Retrovid" 7x35 has been quite highly praised on this forum, but I was curious as to what the opinions are regarding the other two models. Has anyone looked through them, and if so how do they compare to other similar bins?

Thanks and best regards
Gary

Gary, you've probably seen it, but just in case. Canip/Pinac has an entry for each one of the new Retrovid in his Pinacollection (a most invaluable resource when it comes to binoculars, and we are lucky enough to have him contribute to this forum).
They're here: 7x35, 8x40, 10x40.
I always like his reasoned opinions and his balanced judgement (backed by an impressive first-hand long-term experience with countless devices). When it comes to the 8x40, this is what he has to say:

"... the Retro-Design-Trinovids (we take the liberty of calling them “RETROVID”) are perhaps not what Leica fans expected, but they are actually very decent binoculars. In particular, in BINOCULARS TODAY’s opinion, the 8×40 model presented here is one of the nicest 8×40/8×42 binoculars that have come on the market lately."
