At this time of year turnover of birds is high. Only one of these birds was caught on the last visit 3 days ago. Seven of them were ringed in previous winters - and only one of those has been retrapped before this winter.

While the weather in particular has reduced catching days this spring (since the end of the winter CES), catches have been good and overall numbers good.

The bird referred to was ringed at Scousburgh, Shetland on 14th July, 2022 as a newly fledged bird. That is 458km distant.
