Today at work I found a robin with a broken wing, its left wing was kind of sticking out a little and it wasn't flying, just hoping around, so with the help of my boss I grabbed it and it's now in a box with some water and some hamburg. A co worker said that his sister has helped birds with broken wings and feed them hamburg. Is that ok? Any advice would be welcome! I've been searching some online but haven't been too successful trying to find information on helping an injured bird. He said that the wing will heal on its on too.
Also when I got home I went to give it some water and it managed to fly out of the box, so my Mom and I were chasing it around the house, it didn't fly any after that, so I think the wing is still injured.
