A bit different walking around Middleton this morning compared to the North Tenerife mountains where I was a few days ago! Saw 6 endemic species while I was there despite it being a 'non-birding' holiday eh eh.
Anyway, between the blustery rain showers at Middleton I saw a Dunlin, 2 Ringed Plover, c350 Golden Plover and 2 Stonechat (4 reported) on JWs. There were 12 Goldeneye on Dosthill NR and 2 Oystercatcher on the North Pit. A Brambling was reported by the path on the NW corner of the Jws but I didn't see it, which is a shame as they are so scarce this winter.
All the best
