I posted this in the Wildlife area but thought you would all get a kick out of this.
I named it "Beija-Flor" which is Portuguese and means 'flower kisser' or 'to kiss a flower'. The Portuguese explorers saw these when they landed in Brazil and gave them this name.
All carved from tupelo gum wood and painted with acrylics. That's a Hosta it's feeding on. Life size.
