now snow has gone most of blackbirds,thrushes redwing have gone to the fields,arrived yesterday 5 siskins along with a redpoll ,also collared doves,fatballs are been demolished.i have noticed 1 or 2 smaller birds with like a web foot ,or club foot.
 
Just got a couple of siskins coming back n forth every few days - last hear at this time they were numbering abt 15-20, same with the redpolls - sadly, no redpolls this winter.

Same as you, I've just had two single siskins occasionally visiting this past week. And like you this time last year I was getting 15-20 in the garden, here feeding on the nyger with goldfinches. However, redpolls having been visiting in large numbers since December; they were here last winter for the first time, and they seem to have taken over from siskins. This is the first winter for many years that siskin numbers have been so sparse.
