Snake ID - Panjin, Liaoning, China (1 Viewer)

I am hoping that someone here will help with an ID for a beautiful small snake that I ran across today (September 30, 2020) at the Panjin Wetland Park, Panjin, Liaoning Province, China. I am totally without any references to work from here.

No, I didn't kill it. I don't know if it killed it or was just looking for some fresh meat or just worried about the predator so close to its nest, but an Oriental Magpie was pecking at it and was loudly complaining from a nearby nest as I took these shots.

Hi Andy, Thanks for the help and I am sure you are correct now that I know what to search for. Coloration, pattern, size and distribution fit as does the location given its preferred prey.
