Some Cyprus Gulls from last week. (1 Viewer)

The apparent short stubby bill and single mirror might favour Armenian Gull 1st image?

The black backed gulls (fuscus type) intermedius?

And the last gull a 2nd-3rd Winter YLG?

Cheers

? they still look like pics taken from a screen. Anyway, the first one has black down to p4 and small p10 mirrors but at the same time pale eyes and no black (or no substantial black) to bill both of which is possible but not common in Armenian Gull. It might be a hybrid though (as probably still being produced in the western Anatolian lakes). Hard to judge mantle shade in the fuscus types, pic 2 looks like a Baltic (but could be intermedius as well) and pic 3 like an intermedius or heuglini (small mirror slightly in favour of heuglini but not really possible to tell). pic 4 looks to be a 3cy (2nd cycle) YLG.

At last the originals!…the birds on the water were a long way out (don’t know how useful the image might be?)

The last image was shot at home a couple of days ago of this 2/3 calendar year gull, thought it’s bill and forehead looked a touch long?

Cheers

I'd be content with Armenian on the first two images Ken, purely on bill features. Were they at Lady's Mile just past the hide per chance? Last image looks a bit of a brute by the way.

They were shot off Paphos headland, yes the home flyover does look a bit of a brute.🤣👍
