Hi Woody,
Either spelling- miniscule - or minuscule- is acceptable by dictionaries, so BBC was correct on "Springwatch" website!
(Nothing about birding but I did work as a teacher!)

Nothing to do with this thread but I just wanted to say you have a great username there naturistbird! ;)

It was good tonight shame there were no Tits it be great to see a Corncrake on the which I was very lucky to see on my holiday. Good luck to Simon on getting a good view

Grr! can't get a good enough view of the landscape to tell exactly where Simon is.

He said the North-West was where he was based Ant, so I suppose he's somewhere near the nature reserve.

Enjoyed tonight's programme

Top quality. Notable quotes included Bill's reference to the "pink vote," and I love the phrase "badger action." The Pied Fly in the opening credits rocks as did hearing the young choughs calling, sensational!

I thought it was awful. We don't need grand opera on a nature programme.Far too much talk from Oddie, and as for the grinning ape on Islay. Well!

Enjoyed it, super filming of the four Kingfishers, Choughs & the Golden Eagles. Look forward to tonights programme.

Rod.

SK location

Looked to me like he was in the area in the north west of the island. The cliffs of Sanaigmore were in the background. Saligo/Smaull area.
