Hello guys i was hoping somebody would be able to advise me on some strange behaviour i have witnessed from one of our gardens Blue Tits.
Basically they are currently checking out our Sparrow terrace, as Sparrows never use it, and it`s directly under my bedroom window. The strange thing is one of the pair, i suspect it`s the male, is seemingly attempting to get into our house. He lands on our living room window sill and taps the glass with his bill and flutters up and down and scratches at our window. Every day, several times a day this happens. He attempts to push in when the window is slightly open, so because of this we have been keeping it closed. I have heard of Robins attacking reflections of themselves, but never Blue Tits. Could he be doing this or trying to get in? We are concerned about the summer months when our windows are wide open because of this. Any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
