This is our front yard in Perth, where we daily feed a pair of Corellas and a Bandicoot.
The Bandicoot gets to have the seed tray after the day dims and the birds depart.
But this morning for the first time the Bandicoot came to eat the bird's seed. The Corellas tried to scare him off with the usual raising of wings and stuff.
The Bandicoot just kept eating and wasn't to be put off. I was surprised that it did. The Corella is a large bird.
I think that these photos must be fairly unique. Here we have a Corella competing with a Bandicoot for the bird seed.
Photo five is the little animal getting a drink, having finished off all the seed.
Getting a drink in itself must be unique to these animals as there aren't too many containers of water out in the summer Australian bush.
