Thekla's Lark or Crested Lark please 🙏 (1 Viewer)

Hi Matt
Yes the bill is the major factor - there isn't the convex lower mandible visible on Thekla's larks and also the facial features which match the Crested Lark more closely (the eye ring, eye stripe and supercilium).
All the best
Kandahar

Thanks, I have put the photo into the Merlin app and it identifys it as a Thekla's Lark, I'm not sure how accurate this app is because on other birds it seems to come up with all sorts 😀

If you want to see a Thekla's, pop over to Cape St Vincent - they are abundant there, and Crested's virtually absent
