Hi, just wondering if anybody has been keeping an eye on the new(ish) pond/lake on lower Towneley Park this winter? Its seems to be attracting
quite a variety of wildfowl & gulls at the moment along with snipe, reed bunting, and Siskin. I was told earlier this year of a Hobby hanging around for the day. This could turn into a nice little hotspot maybe ?

Hi

Yellow Wagtails have turned up there and its a good place for Treecreepers, Goldcrest and Nuthatch - might be a Fieldfare roost there possibly?

Hi, yes seen quite a few fieldfares & a number of redwing
but they've been mainly around the lower corner of the golf
course near the pond with the mallard & canada's on. The dippers
are regular along the Calder along with kingfisher.
