I have been using this little jewel for about five hours each day, while seated on a third-floor balcony.
An occasional comparison with an 8X32 SF shows no significant difference, to my eyes.
This is not to say that the two views are identical, because they are not, but one does not show anything the other does not. The both resolve the same details of the same objects. They are both quite remarkable and astonishing. Just as an incidental, the air is a bit trembly this morning.
I did not expect to see and follow dragon flies in flight at 75 yards, and be able to see that they have four wings. The distance at which I can ID familiar birds is surprising. Of course, if I have no clue what it is, it gets written off as a “generic bird”.
The Habicht is my first choice, for my “sit still and see who shows up” style of observing, because I like the crisp image (which frequently doesn’t look like an image at all) the compactness, and the way it just snuggles down into my hands. I can hold it much steadier than I can hold the Zeiss. The Zeiss focuser is much better, as everyone knows.
One treat from this morning. I was following a dragon fly, and a generic little brown bird rose up out of the weeds, and snatched it out of the air. Must have been quite a surprise for the insect.
