Beak is black and on the long side, black tail feathers, brown body feathers, black on top of head and light belly color with spots. Anyone have a clue what this bird is?
We have gone thru hundreds of identification types and with no luck...
Anone have a clue what he is?

There's no red color on him and the northern flicker is lighter colored.
Thanks for your comments.
He is much darker brown with black tail and black top of head.
