Hello! I first heard this male house sparrow last year, and now that it’s spring I am hearing him again. His song is so unique. He is not high-pitched but lower-toned. He lives downtown east Toronto, near Allan Gardens. I have used Merlin Bird ID and it is has id’d him as a house sparrow, and he certainly looks like one. I am very interested to know if this is just new to me, or if his chirp really is uniquely low. I have named him “Big Boy”.
