Unusual Murre in California (1 Viewer)

Photographed this unusual Murre at Devil's Slide in Pacifica, California, USA this morning. It shows the inverted "V" on its foreneck suggestive of Thick-billed Murre which is accidental here. Common Murre is abundant and expected. Any thoughts?

Thanks. Here are a few more (better?) photos. Yes, I certainly see Common Murre's with an inverted "V", but the angle is usually much wider when seen directly in front. I do not see any with the narrow acute angle here.
