Works finished at the Flashes this morning and the new and improved islands look superb. The Trust are to be congratulated for getting the funding and with others making this happen. They mainly get negativity on Social media most of which is unfair but never praise when good stuff happens!
Work continues at the Moors Pool until Wednesday/Thursday this week according to Ellie on site via Jim. Bird wise obviously much disturbance but Great White Egret over flashes per PHW, Finch numbers building on A38 field with Linnet at c60 and Chaffinch c70. Also Stock Dove c120. 5 Curlew. Peregrine, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel over. 2 Chiffchaff at Sailing Pool and 8 Siskin along Salwarpe best of the rest.
