Urgently search for a specific video on bird behavior (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm looking for a front view video of a bird spinning or rolling in the air, turning belly up and then turning back again. I need the video for my animation project. Is this behavior possible? I can't find any videos. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BirdForum. Here's a video of Raven displaying. It's reasonably front on and has the sequence in slow motion as well as normal time. Raven might be a good bird to search, as they do this sort of flight quite a lot.

Hi Sarah and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Yes, Andrew is correct of course, in that Ravens are known to do this quite frequently. I've seen them do it in Wales too.

This behavior is also shown regularly by Gulls and Geese. See for examples here:

In geese the behaviour is known as “whiffling” which might produce some results if searched for.
