Hello :)

I have recently bought Razor 27-60x85 with Sirui R-3213X with vh10 head and i'm suffering with unscrewing the scope from the head. Do you have any expierience with this combination of scope and head? Thank you for your answers :)

If I understand the question (I own another Sirui head)...what I attach to the scope is the tripod plate, not the head. The plate attaches to the scope easily but it is not something I would screw and unscrew regularly as that would be a bit of a pain.

If I had to use the same tripod/head in a different instrument, I would consider getting a second plate for that second intrument to prevent having to screw and unscrew.

Melanocephala,

Like Gzoladz74 I am not sure I understand your question :). Do you mean you have a problem with the scope unscrewing itself from the head or do you mean that you have a problem unscrewing the scope from the head yourself ?

What I find the the plate of my tripod head is that tightining it only with my hand is not enough a it remainds very loose. I use a screwdriver to tight it a bit more. The plate also has a second pin that goes into the scope second hole to prevent it rotating (hence, unscrewing itself).

Wrap a little plumber's PTFE tape around the thread before screwing it into the scope foot. This is the simplest & most cost effective way to minimise 'scope twist'.
