Welcome birdbuzz. (1 Viewer)

There seems to be more than 3 or 4 of us old Birdbuzzers left, at least that's all of the names that I recognise. "Today at the Feeder" still gets some action but most of the old forums that we enjoyed so much have pretty much died away. When Bird Watcher's Digest discontinued their web forums a lot of nice people disappeared off of the web.
It was good to be able to read an article then discuss it in a forum, sometimes with the author.

Hi Birdbuzzers!

I have not looked at any bird forums for several years, but I stumbled on to this site and was reminiscent of the old Bird Buzz that I miss. I have recently moved to AZ from SE New York and it's a whole new bird world here. I miss my northeastern birds terribly, expecially all those backyard ones that were a part of my daily life. Anyway, I am glad to see some of you have kept up with this site and I hope to start visiting. Maybe I can learn more about Arizona birding. Happy birding all!

Welcome back Celeste - I agree it's nice to hear from old friends.... Hope we do keep this site talking....Anxious to learn about your birds in AZ.

OH, how nice to see familiar names! Woo Hoo! I have enjoyed reading and "conversing" with Sara and Dan (snowyowl)....and have surely missed Tammy in Canada.....anyone hear from her? Great to hear from Celeste.....is Diane H around? I miss the chatter from the old Bird Buzz.

Things are quiet in mid Indiana right now.....I have had one little ovenbird for two days last week, and read on the Indiana Audubon birdline that they are appearing to be greatly diminished in sightings this fall...so I feel just darn lucky! Of course, I haven't seen that first other warbler near my house yet. Keep hoping and watching. Still have several hummingbirds....but the activity is diminishing.

Carolina wrens are busy and active and one pair had three broods this summer. Wonder where all the kids eventually go? Such cute little guys.

Hope to hear from you guys here again soon! And anxious to hear about birding in Arizona, Celeste!
