The snow doesn't seem to be that prominent in Aberdeenshire right now but there have been a few brief showers throughout today, including when Calvin posted. Its a pity cos I'd love to see it lie! Well done on the Cory's Shearwaters TJ, and best of luck on your birding travels tomorrow Ash. ;)

Well there is some lying in my garden but I'd say it's only about 1cm deep, about an inch deep on the shed roof though. Hopefully there will be a bigger fall during the night.

Not snowed today :-(
but the thermometer hasn't gone above 0'c.
Didn't go for the BN Grebe today but I'll try tomorrow.

Haven't been on in ages what with all the manic christmas shopping. Had a little bit of snow here earlier today, the promise of school being cancelled never pulled through though :( I'm going up to leeds for christmas so I'm hoping for some proper snow then. About 60 redwings passed over the house NE today though and 7 fieldfares N.

I'm 12. My life list (all Australian) is on 259.
That's a pretty good list, how long have you been birding?
Ticked black necked grebe today only to get home and find 2 yellow legged gulls had been reported from the same lake, another lifer:-C
Back in Cornwall tomorrow.....

A good deal more snow today! There's probably around 5 inches out there right now, maybe a little less or more. Calvin, you're right, it really is great to have the snow with us!

Ash, very well done on the B-N Grebe, they're great birds, unlucky about the Yellow-legged Gulls though, I'm sure there will be another day.

Anyway, I have just finshed my last entry charting my holiday birding in Corsica, and my whole two weeks away during the October break. If you want to find out if I saw any of the target species I wanted to see, please give it a read. Any comments on what you thought of the account of my holiday would be very much appreciated!

Cheers guys,

Jospeh

Lovely looking out the window today o:D
