Taxonomy
Monotypic.
The scientific name was formerly spelled chalybata.
Habitat
Hill forests and lowlands.
Behaviour
The diet includes fruit, particularly figs.
It builds a shallow open cup nest which is suspended by the rim from a branch fork. 1-2 eggs are laid.
