    yeah mate, getting out when i can! my little daughter is now 3 months old, so wont be long before im dragging her around the forests etc with me!

    where abouts was this mate? im from walker and im there regulary. guy on wharrier street near walker park had eagle owls in his garden, amongst various other hawks and falcons. maybe one of his.

    had a nice goshawk over the forest drive at kielder on sunday while having a nice walk to the bird hide.

    goshawk, raven, crossbill (lots) and loads of buzzards yesterday. also had peregrine displaying near last years nest site.

    cresswell is fine, and there was smew there today. missed out on the barn owl and merlin though!

    funnily enough, i almost went up there today, as the ponds round here were frozen solid. a trip to barlow kept me busy however.

    the guys at the BOP centre do a grand job, lots of owls come here for re-hab. i visit the place a few times a year, the birds vary from month to month.

    prestwick carr me and rayl went up for a visit today, we got the hen harrier before we had a chance to even stop and set up our scopes! it came from one field to the other as we walked up towards the sentry box! we waited ages for it to show again, but when it did eventually pop up, it went...
