5D3 to get f/8 AF (1 Viewer)

It's not a rumour, I just got an email from CPS confirming it. What an absolute result, even if I do have to wait until April 2013.

I'll be interested to use the 5D3 and test the AF ability at f/8. Certainly a useful benefit for wildlife shooters. I am baffled as to why Canon have been so dumb to not enable this basic feature until now. I guess the only problem is that many folks would expect f/8 AF to be awesome. It's not, even with my 1D3, it's not. But it works and can get you the shots when needed. As long as one can accept there are some limitations using it. :)
