Hi there

I am off on a family holiday to Argaka in the last week of October and am planning to do some birding during the week. this is my first foreign birding trip so was just wondering the best places to visit and what i might see local to Argaka. Have looked at Birdlife Cyprus for general info but wondered if anyone could give me some more deatiled info.

thanks in advance

Hi curlew we are in norfolk at the moment. but we are going home tomorrow, i will send you some info, when in oct are you going, also if you get in touch with june neal, bird life cyprus. tell her mac says hello, see if she will send the new dvd re birds on cyprus, it is brilliant. regards mac

I am there for a week 30/10 to 6/11 too, staying near Paphos headland. Not that it is the best time of year for birding, being just a bit too late for autumn migration.

I have never been at this time of year so can't really advise. What species are you particularly hoping to see? The reports in the archives of BirdlifeCyprus help you see what is around at each time of year.
