Out walking today, my boyfriend and I spotted a Bird of Prey that we at first thought was a Kestrel, the path we were on was overlooking a river valley (woodland and farmland (mostly rough pasture with arable land futher back)). When first seen the bird was gliding with it's wings in a V-shape (making us think Kestrel about to hover) quartering the field but when it flew off it's flight didn't look like Kestrel and got higher and higher until it was too high to see. Definately was not a Buzzard, the wings were long and narrow, tail long too. Got a couple of pics but I feel that only this one is useful:
