Thanks Kevin. That's pretty convincing breeding behavior I reckon! I will keep going there and hope to connect. I will post on here.
Thanks to everyone who has posted their trip reports, not only very interesting but valuable information too, it's always important to know what is coming through the Island and to monitor the health and spread/decline of species.
With regard to Spectacled warblers, very few are ever seen. One or two pairs are found breeding most years, last year the best site was near the top of Puig de Teix, near Valldemosa so they seem to like the high bits. A couple of years ago two pairs were confirmed at the back of Cuber reservoir, walking towards Puig de l'offre. Other than that, they are sometimes seen on migration, one at Cap de Ses Salines and one at the dam, Cuber.
There may be others breeding but few birders venture up the highest peaks during summer.
