Black-necked Stilt (Himantopus mexicanus mexicanus)
Habitat
South Texas Plains vegetation area, man-made shallow pond called Ibis Pond, surrounded by Tamaulipan thornscrub with some planted native and non-native shrubs and wildflowers at 13 m (43 ft) elevation.
Location
Estero Llano Grande State Park, Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.
